Galaxy Tab sales soar past 1 million mark

Samsung Galaxy Tab continues to pick up sales momentum.

In late November, Samsung said it had sold 600,000 Galaxy Tab units worldwide. This week, the company announced it had sold upwards of a million Galaxy Tabs – and again predicted that it would hit the 1.5 million-unit-sold mark by the beginning of next year.

The Galaxy Tab is currently available on 120 carriers in 64 countries, including France, the UK, and the US.
The device has earned solid marks from reviewers, despite its 7-inch screen, which Apple CEO Steve Jobs once publicly derided as too small for most users. In a positive review of the Galaxy Tab in the New York Times, David Pogue noted that "Samsung sweated the details on this thing. The screen is gorgeous. The touch response is immediate and reliable. The whole thing is superfast and a pleasure to use."
Four carriers in the US offer the Galaxy Tab, including Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint. AT&T was the most recent carrier to begin selling the Galaxy Tab; the AT&T edition comes unlocked, and users do not have to sign a service contract. AT&T also offers the cheapest monthly data plan, at $15 for 250MB. By comparison, T-Mobile charges $25 for 200MB of data per month, but sells the Tab for the subsidized price of $400, providing you enter into a contract.
So is a million units sold a big deal for the Galaxy Tab? Absolutely. But Samsung still lags far behind Apple, which has reportedly sold upwards of 7 million iPads since the launch of that device in April. Meanwhile, rumors continue to percolate that Apple is preparing an iPad 2 – complete with a pair of cameras and a USB port – which would do a whole lot to steal the thunder from Samsung and its Galaxy Tab.

iPad still dominates tablets, but alternative devices offer interesting trade-offs

FILE - In this Jan. 27, 2010 file photo, the iPad is shown after it was unveiled at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Although the iPad is at the top of some wish lists this holiday season, there are also many other less expensive ways to say merry Christmas or happy Chanukah to the traveler in your life. (AP Photo/Marcio Jose Sanchez, FILE)

It's not quite accurate to say that only two categories of tablet exist: the iPad and Everything That's Not the iPad. But that description isn't far off.
Apple's $499-and-up touch-screen device continues to define this category, more than half a year after its arrival in stores. If you've ever used an iPhone or an iPod Touch, you know how to use this thing. If not, the odds are good that a friend can teach you in a few minutes. The iPad also benefits from an enormous and growing selection of applications written for its 9.7-inch screen.
Of the six iPad configurations, the entry-level, Wi-Fi-only, 16-gigabyte model remains the best choice in most cases. The extra memory of pricier versions won't matter to most users, while the 3G iPad'smobile-broadband access will be almost as irrelevant to users who only take it from their home to a friend's or to a Wi-Fi-equipped coffee shop.
But Apple's tablet misses some marks of its own. Without a camera, it's shut out of FaceTime video calls with iPhone, iPod Touch and Mac users. Its need to be connected to a computer for setup and operating-system updates makes it unusable as somebody's only means of accessing the Web. More than six months after its launch, it can't be too long before a new version arrives. And even $499 can be a lot of money.
If not the iPad, what else?
Samsung's Galaxy Tab, by its specifications and features alone, would be the obvious choice for iPad refuse-niks. But this smaller, lighter Android device doesn't have an equally shrunken price- largely because it's sold only in 3G versions customized for the major wireless carriers. So either you sign up for a two-year wireless-data contract (which only lowers the Tab's price to $399.99 at best) or you pay "unsubsidized" prices of $599.99 or $649.99.
The Galaxy Tab does include front and back video cameras, a browser that can play Adobe Flash content (sometimes after a pause or a stutter), and access to the Android Market (though some apps fail to fill the screen and most aren't customized for that larger space). But its video-calling software comes nowhere near the ease of Apple's FaceTime. And Samsung earns an extra foul for shipping this thing with a proprietary data/power USB connector - who does this company think it is, Apple?
If not the Tab, what else?
Here's where the market gets fragmented.
For now, the most interesting iPad alternative looks to be Barnes & Noble's NookColor. Although the bookstore chain pitches this $249 Wi-Fi tablet as an e-book reader, it also can serve as a good Web-access tool. Its seven-inch color LCD doesn't exhibit the Tab's distracting pauses to redraw text after scrolling or zooming in, and its simplicity means there's less to learn overall.
You read books and magazines on this thing; you browse the Web; you can carry around photos and music and a movie or two on its 8 GB of internal storage; you can run some simple apps. (The NookColor runs a pruned version of Android without access to the Android Market, although B&N plans to offer its own catalogue of simpler programs later on.) That's it.
For half the price of an iPad, it seems a reasonable trade-off - even if you never buy an e-book from B&N's store.
(Unfortunately, the NookColor's USB cable looks like a standard micro-USB connector but is just different enough to render it useless with other devices. Who does this company think it is, Samsung?)
If you step into any electronics store, you'll probably also see a variety of Android tablets from companies you may have never heard of. Tread carefully. Although their prices and features can look appealing, many of these devices run slowly and ship with outdated versions of Android. Some don't include the Android Market, either. If you can't confirm that one of these things offers at least the 2.1 version of Android and the Market, avoid it.
The cheapest tablet computers of all aren't usually thought of as computers: e-book readers such as Amazon's Kindle (still the best of this contingent, although it's due for its own update). Some e-readers advertise Web access, but don't kid yourself - browsing the Web on the sluggish, gray-scale "e-ink"displays of these devices is nowhere near the experience of even the worst no-name Android tablets. You buy these devices to read books, magazines and newspapers - in particular, outdoors, where e-ink screens look far more legible than standard LCDs. Everything else is a pleasant bonus at best.
Remember, though, that most e-book stores sell titles in proprietary formats locked down with "digital rights management" restrictions that make them unreadable on competing devices. Until that changes-Google's upcoming, Web-centric e-book store could give the market a shove - it would be a mistake to invest too much in either e-book hardware or titles.
On that note, if you're still unsure of what to get in a tablet device of any sort, it's not a bad time to wait. Between the uncertain timing of an update to the iPad and the arrival of a tablet-optimized 3.0 version of Android and such upcoming alternatives as Research In Motion's PlayBook and possible tablets running an upgraded version of HP's Palm WebOS software, there are good reasons to wish the gift-giving season could be pushed back six months.

PlayStation Phone

PlayStation Phone may be Shown on Dec. 9

PlayStation Phone may be Shown on Dec. 9

Three days ago, Sony Ericsson CEO Bert Nordberg hinted about making "noise" at the Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona. Yes, the Sony Ericsson PlayStation Phone indeed is in works and would be shown earlier than expected. French website Nowhereelse.fr claims to have received an invitation from Sony Ericsson regarding the 'most anticipated' presentation scheduled on December 9. Apparently, the invite carries icons of PlayStation Buttons along with a phone icon.

Sony Ericsson's invite in French mentions about SE France CEO Pierre Peron making the most anticipated presentation of the last 10 years. Indeed it's going to be PlayStation Phone with the phone icon along with the other PlayStation brand gaming buttons - Cross, Circle, Triangle and Square. Apparently there's no textual mention of the PlayStation Phone but the icons give a clear indication. According to the recent trends in high-end Android smartphones, PlayStation Phone may have 1GHz CPU, 512MB ROM, 512MB ROM, 8-megapixel camera, Touchpad in slide out panel that has one analog stick with multi-touch pad and 4.0-inch touchscreen that shows Android 2.3 Gingerbread running on it.

Carrying the PlayStation Go form factor, the PlayStation Phone will have directional buttons and game buttons just like the on company's handheld console on the slide out panel. The slide out panel will also have a touch pad in the center.

Earlier this week, Sony Ericsson France CEO Pierre Peron stated, "With Windows 7 we run the risk of standardising our smartphones. We would be obliged to compete only on design on price, which we want to avoid."

This comment was made in reference to the high growing sales of Android based Sony Ericsson phones. Peron stated that the company prefers Android since it allows more product differentiating in Sony Ericsson handsets.

At the presentation, the PlayStation Phone might be just shown and then official launch with fanfare might take place at the MWC. Let's not forget that Sony Ericsson Xperia X12 Anzu was leaked earlier this month. This might be a teaser to Xperia X12 with PlayStation Store digital content distribution service. Think of it this way - Sony already has premium content service with all mini games content like PSP Minis.

Nordberg had mentioned earlier that the real challenge before launching PlayStation Phone is negotiating the right issues with game publishers. Hence, I suppose, this presentation might be a sneak peak to what the PlayStation Phone is about and a possible PSN service for the phone.

Now we eagerly wait for December 9 for Sony Ericsson to make the presentation of this decade.

Google Will Throw A Tablet With Chrome Before End Of Year

http://www.chromesos.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/Chrome-OS.jpg

The signature of Mountain View is proving the platform in two teams with name in code " Mario " and " Andretti ".

Google might introduce his operating system Chrome OS before 2010 finishes. The company planned December as its date to throw the Tablet, although much is speculated about if this version will be a beta and not a definitive edition.

The arrival of the SO to the market might happen in a netbook with mark Google that the house would be creating for the occasion, would being provided with a partner manufacturer as it was already doing in other developments of hardware as that of  Nexus One.

At present, the company of the big one G is doing numerous tests with Chrome with two teams with name in key "Mario" and " Andretti " that would be the base of new miniportable this one, who would stand out for speeds of load.

These denominations related to driver of software were started allowing to see in the records of Google in the middle of October and since then its use has been increasing in the testing of bugs.

For the users who before these information ask themselves how Android and Chrome will coexist OS, Eric Schmidt - CEO of Google - has a re-watching response:

" We do not want to say that it does one a thing and other one. But yes it is true that till now Android has turned out to be ideal for a tactile interaction and Chrome OS suitably to give solutions based on the keyboard ".

The analysts, for his part, believe that the fall of selling and penetration of the netbooks will do that the operating system of Google fails noisy.

Grace Dent's TV OD: The Royal Wedding

'The wedding will give rise to some of the most obsequious royal bum-licking ever on TV'

TVOD

I've witnessed the shape of TV in 2011. It's right royally silly. In the Lorraine Show studio last week, TV chef Ed Baines is mashing up spready cheese and bacon bits before stuffing it in ready-roll vol-au-vent cases. "So, Ed," says Lorraine, cruising in auto-cheery mode, "This could be the kind of nibble the royal couple might have on their big day?!" "Could be!" says Ed. Lorraine points at a pile of chocolate cupcakes so vividly iced Amy Childs wouldn't tolerate them at an Essex Penazzle evening. "Here's a cake we thought Wills and Kate might go for!" Lorraine says. What a spread!
Until then I'd never seen Prince Albert of Monaco as a meat paste bap or cheesy football kind of man, but in this new world of flagrant conjecture, my brain's relaxing into it. On a rival channel, the bloke who taught Kate Middleton grade one piano 17 years ago is concluding, "She prefered sport, really"; meanwhile, a brunette called Louise Lynn is proclaiming herself Britain's foremost Kate Middleton lookalike. The only way Louise will be mistaken for Kate is if she waits in the doorway of Moorfields Eye Hospital, ambushing cataract patients. Expect to see much, much more of these people.
Like aristo Ben from Big Brother 11, for example, the one with the Lady Di bouffant; prepare for lots more of him. Ben went to St Andrews with Kate and Will and is willing, for a small fee, to recall the couple walking "to" lectures, walking "back" from lectures and sometimes even shopping in a supermarket. Ben hasn't revealed what they bought, but I'm guessing Jus-Rol vol-au-vent pastry, Primula cheese, bacon bits and conditioner for Kate's lovely hair, which uni friends now remember as the loveliest, most fragrant hair ever grown out of a head in the whole of Christendom.
Be sure this wedding next April will give rise to some of the most obsequious and gag reflex-testing royal bum-licking by sources close to the couple, all jockeying for power, ever permitted on TV since New Labour. Because Kate wasn't just a pretty girl at college, as Jules Knight from Blake will be recalling on ITV2 every week from now until next summer – she was the prettiest girl in the whole of St Andrews. Cue stock shots of Kate at a fashion show in a see-though net frock, showing her pants, with a voiceover by Jules, Ben or close friend Jessica Kay remembering this night with the breathless wonder one reserves for a child's first steps. Cue the sounds of TV runners poking awake Princess Di's designers David and Elizabeth Emanuel, who've been in cryogenic sleep for 20 years but are now back in demand to create TV content about Kate's potential dress, which they could be asked to design but won't, because the last time they did they invented something so vast it could have been chucked over the Albert Hall as winter insulation.
Whatever Kate wears now will be watched carefully by Hollywood star Anne Hathaway, already Saturday Night Live's go-to girl for a prim Middleton impression. SNL's first skit appeared to portray our beloved Prince Philip (played by Bill Hader) as a crass, sweary social liability. "When it comes to stuff at the palace," the Queen tells Kate, "don't be asking questions like, 'Where did you get this vase? Or, 'Where's that throne from?' Cos chances are we nicked it."
Back in the UK, in the absence of cutting satire, we have instead ITV's Tom Bradby, the hottest name in British royal reporting, giving us a glimpse of the real royals. Tom won the exclusive interview with Will and Kate post-engagement. The one where they stood side-by-side showing the very same ring Di and Charles showed in 1981, saying the same types of things about love the nation accepted as fact once before. Tom's wife Claudia used to work designing jewellery with Kate at Jigsaw, in the little job Kate held down four days a week, before it all became too much for her. But now Kate's going to be Queen, and Tom's going to be a star, and I'm going to sit on my arse writing about it. So, to be honest, it's worked out rather well for all of us …

Build Stronger Bones

Instructions

  1. Eat a diet high in calcium and vitamin D. Some good foods are dark green leafy vegetables, broccoli, sardines, salmon, kelp, oysters and dairy products.

  2. Try not to eat whole grains and calcium-rich foods at the same time. Whole grains contain a substance that binds with calcium and prevents proper absorption.

  3. Enjoy foods that contain sulfur. Good ones are garlic and onions.

  4. Pass on phosphate-containing foods such as soft drinks. Phosphorus causes the body to excrete calcium.

  5. Limit or avoid high-protein animal foods. A diet high in protein causes calcium to be excreted from your body.

  6. Decrease caffeine consumption.

  7. Exercise daily if possible. Weight-bearing exercise, such as running, weight lifting or dancing, is best for bone health.

  8. Add supplements of calcium, magnesium and vitamin D if you aren't sure that you are getting enough in your diet.

  9. Supplement your diet with silica; it helps your body absorb calcium.

  10. Add bone-building herbs to your diet. Alfalfa, barley grass, dandelion root, nettle, parsley and rose hips are a few good ones. Take as a tea, tincture or tablets.

Tips & Warnings

  • Any age is a good time to build healthy bones, but the younger you are when you start, the better your chances of avoiding osteoporosis.
  • It is always appropriate to consult with your doctor before adding supplements or herbs to your diet.
  • Studies have shown that walking and running are better for building strong bones than other activities, including working out on step-climbing machines or stationary bikes.

Argentina Politician Slap

Buenos Aires - During an intense budget argument, an Argentinian legislator became so frustrated that she slapped her fellow politician in the face. The slap seen around the world was broadcast live on two channels.
Politics can be a rough and violent battle. We have seen legislators throw shoes at one another. We have seen bare-knuckle punches between politicians. Of course, when a debate becomes passionately intense, verbal arguments can exude.
During a debate on Argentina’s budget, legislator Graciela Camano slapped colleague Carlos Kunkel during a live television broadcast, according to the Montreal Gazette
Camano started the exchange by getting out of her chair to confront Kunkel. As seen in the video, Kunkel gesticulated and Camano slapped him. She proceeded to exit the Upper House chamber.
“Under no circumstances will I allow Kunkel or anyone else to lack respect,” said Camano. “He wore me out because I have been putting up with him all year long. He kept shouting without making a single proposal.” Although she didn’t comment on what he said exactly, Camano said: “He’s always attacking me.”
However, Momento 24 English reports that witnesses close to the situation say that Kunkel made a reference to the words of Barrionuevo: “We must stop stealing a few years for the country succeed.”
Kunkel has not released a statement on the matter but can file a complaint under congressional rules that can lead to sanctions.

Australian police to probe Google over privacy

The Australian government has ordered a police investigation into Internet giant Google over alleged privacy breaches, Attorney General Robert McClelland said Sunday.
Communications Minister Stephen Conroy last month accused the company of committing the "single greatest breach in the history of privacy" by collecting private wireless data while taking pictures for its 'Street View' mapping service.
McClelland said the government had asked the Australian Federal Police to investigate after receiving numerous complaints.
"Obviously I won't pre-empt the outcome of that investigation but they relate in substantial part to possible breaches of the Telecommunications Interception Act, which prevents people accessing electronic information other than for authorised purposes," McClelland said.
Whether any charges are laid is up to the police, but the government felt "there were issues of substance that required police investigations", McClelland said.
Google said it collected the data in error.
"This was a mistake. We are talking to the appropriate authorities to answer any questions they have," a spokeswoman said in a statement.
The development comes after the Internet giant reportedly said its Street View cars taking photos in more than 30 countries had inadvertently gathered fragments of personal data sent over unsecured WiFi systems, and would hand information over to European data protection authorities.
Google has led criticism of Australia's planned Internet filter, warning it could damage the nation's reputation as a liberal democracy and set a dangerous global precedent.

Unidentified Flying Object - UFO

1
Do you believe in aliens? It is hard to tell. Many people claim they have seen U.F.O.'s before, and they might have. U.F.O. 's are unknown things and little is known about them. U.F.O. stands for unidentified flying object.

A U.F.O.? On September 2, 1994, astronomers claimed they saw a Space Blob. In a national laboratory, scientists found out a Space Blob is the fastest moving thing in matter. The Space Blob is capable of moving 92% faster than the speed of light. Could his be a U.F.O.? Or an alien who isn't affected by the harmful effects of outer space?

At one time the government did not answer any public calls about U.F.O. sightings, but they would only listen to what the Air force radar picked up. This may have been because there had been so many hoax calls after Roswell.

Roswell was a small town in New Mexico. One night weird lights appeared in the sky. When the officials went to investigate, they found a spaceship with small, mangled bodies inside. That was one of the major reasons why the mysterious Area 51 was founded.

Some people believe that U.F.O.s cause Crop Circles. Others believe that you can be "abducted" by aliens who will either do evil things to you, help you understand the universe, or take you to who knows where.

2
A UFO is technically an "unidentified flying object," nothing more nor less.

Any object that flies and cannot initially be identified as an airplane, helicopter, blimp, balloon, kite, or any other object that normally flies, is a UFO. Many flying objects that are listed as a UFO can later be identified as an object made on Earth, then they can be called an "IFO," or identified flying object.

3
UFO's do exist because the saucer resonates on a higher frequency, one that is even above the dimmest sound perceivable by human ears. That is why to many witnesses, the jet does not produce any sound and moves at unconceivable speeds. The saucer can indeed perform space travels through the conversion of bodily mass (the pilot and the jet) to hyper-energy, E=MC4. This is done through the emission of will energy of the soul of the pilot. It is controled and manuvered by the pilot's psychic ability. In other words, the saucer is a result of a cybernetic invention, where the brain of the pilot mingles with the will of the jet through an exogenous brain wave that is attainable only with the help of superior spiritual knowledge. Humanity is unconceivable of such psychic ability in its current stage of evolution. It lacks the knowledge of the immaterial power over the material physics. But in the future, should humanity survive the upcoming chaos, it will overcome the test of inventing its own saucer craft.

UFOs in the Quran - Abdul Aziz Khan

"With over a billion followers spread across the world, Islam today stands as the second largest and the fastest growing religion of our time. I wonder how many of these over one billion followers know that their religious scriptures mention spacecrafts that visited the deserts of Arabia during Prophet Muhammad’s time. To most Muslims, It will come as a great surprise that the pagan Arabs, who opposed the Prophet, worshipped alien visitors from outer space! These alien visitors (or “sky-gods” as they were understood by pagan Arabs) are mentioned repeatedly in the Quran and the Hadeeth. Yet, in spite of their emphasized mention, Muslim world has not been able to gather any concrete proof of their existence. In the absence of concrete scientific proof, these alien space travelers occupy Muslim conscience as “spiritual beings."

Abdul Aziz Khan is a television journalist whose news reports and documentaries have gone on air in many countries around the world. He is a formerField Investigator with MUFON, the worlds largest organization doing investigations into unexplained aerial phenomenon.

NASA Astronaut and Russian Cosmonaut Facts
Cosmonaut drawing of unknown object observed in space
NASA was formed in 1958 and from the very start a number of it's astronauts and test pilots testified to sighting UFOs or craft of undetermined origin.
Initially Joseph Walker was the first to announce a sighting -- he told the National Conference on the Peaceful Uses of Space Research in 1962 that he had an aerial encounter with two disc-shaped objects the previous month. He had actually filmed the encounter.
In April 1962, NASA pilot, Joseph Walker, filmed five cylindrical and disc-shaped objects from his X-15 aircraft.
Another test pilot reported an incident involving a formation of UFOs whilst flying at 314,000 feet.
NASA refused to reveal any evidence that might substantiate the pilots' claims -- photographs or films were never released.
In April 1964, two radar technicians watched UFOs following an unmanned Gemini capsule.
Mercury 7 In 1965, the FBI received information from a confidential source that an informant at NASA was secretly divulging information on UFOs to two UFO researchers in Pittsburgh. According to FBI files:
"The source believes that the informant may be classified and had actually seen a film showing a missile separating and a UFO appearing on the screen. "The informant advised prior to the flight of Gemini 4 - watch out for something interesting because the spaceship had devices aboard to detect UFOs."
The FBI files infer that NASA was (is) withholding filmed evidence of UFOs, to which the general public is being denied access and the remarks about Gemini 4 is of special interest because James McDivitt, a pilot with Gemini 4, confirmed that during the mission he did see an "unidentified object."

World's Most Expensive Cities To Live

World's Most Expensive Cities To Live
Twenty spots where it's hardest to make ends meet.

The ride on a bus or subway in Tokyo costs $3.25. Grab a newspaper and a cup of coffee on the way and the total comes to $11.70. That's more than anywhere else in the world--24% more than what those same things cost in New York, even.

Tokyo is the world's most expensive city, according to Mercer's 2009 Worldwide Cost of Living survey released today, with the cost of living up 13.1% from 2008; the city ranked at No. 2 in 2008's survey. Japan's capital is followed by Osaka and Moscow, which held the top spot in last year's rankings. Geneva comes in fourth.

Yahoo! BuzzThe significant changes from last year are due to massive swings in exchange rates, with many currencies at their weakest in years against the U.S. dollar, during the March 2009 survey period. Because of this, New York moved up 14 spaces to No. 8 from No. 22. London dropped to No. 16 from No. 3 as the pound dropped as low as 1.37 against the U.S. dollar during the study period. Six months earlier, one pound was worth $1.86.

"Changes in exchange rate tend to be one of the major drivers, I would argue the major driver, in cost of living," says Rebecca Powers, a principal consultant at Mercer.

Even with the U.S. dollar weakening over the past four months--it's now worth $1.65--due in part to the Obama administration's stimulus package, the cost of living in London, when measured against the value of the U.S. dollar, is significantly lower than it was a year ago, when the pound was worth more than $2.

All U.S. cities included in the ranking also experienced a rise, including Los Angeles, up 32 places, and Washington, D.C., up 41 places.

Chocolate is Yummy and Funny

If you are feeling depressed, then reaching for a bar of chocolate will put the smile back on your face. There is now a definitive link between chocolate and your mood, say a group of US based researchers.

Scientific Proof Exists That Chocolate is Good For You
Dr. Natalie Rose from the University of California along with her colleagues observed that depressed people ate about 8 servings of candy whereas cheerful people ate only about 5 servings of chocolate over a similar period of time. Severely depressed people ate about 11 servings. One serving equates to 1 ounce of chocolate or just a small bar.

The Man With No Face

For the past 35 years, 51 year-old Jose Mestre, from Lisbon, has been losing his face to a massive growth, distorting it out of all recognition – and it's still growing.

The tumour on Jose's face is a vascular malformation, a collection of blood vessels that have expanded, producing a raised red area on the skin. Jose was born with a strawberry-coloured birth mark on his upper lip; at puberty his face started growing, eventually smothering his lips, nose and one of his eyes.  It's now about 33cm long and weighs around 3kg.

The Man with No Face meets the man behind the 'mask' and attempts to understand what it is like to have such an affliction. How does he cope with day to day life - with  the stares, the ridicule and people taking photographs?

Surrounded by a loving family, it seems incredible that he has not been treated and his face was allowed to grow so big. However, through years of medical misinformation, some misdiagnosis, lack of finances, and reluctance to undergo treatment due to religious beliefs, the growth has continued to obliterate his face.

My Shocking Story follows Jose on a journey through Europe to seek medical advice for one last chance to stop his face from suffocating him. In this journey of a lifetime he will discover the truth about his condition, as he travels by train, via Paris, to Britain, to meet the top experts in London. He will go through a series of tests, consultations, and meet other patients with a similar affliction.  Here he will also spend time with his brother and the rest of his family, enjoy being a tourist in London, while making the biggest decision of his life:

Jose's dream is to live a long and normal life. Will he decide to change his religious beliefs, and risk an operation to remove his malformation, or will he decide against surgery and accept that he will continue living the rest of his life without a face?

David Beckham

SOME PEOPLE ARE BORN TO PLAY FOOTBALL

After attending the Bobby Charlton Soccer School aged 11, impressing coaches with his natural ability (and becoming skills champion for his age group), David’s future was effectively secured when he signed for Manchester United as a trainee in 1991.

Following a short spell on loan at Preston North End, David fulfilled a dream when he made his Premier League debut with Manchester United in 1995 against Leeds. During the 1996/97 season, he famously scored from the halfway line (a feat not even the great Pele accomplished) against Wimbledon.

By the turn of the millennium, David was a household name. Not only as a treble winner with United, but also as a world renowned free-kick specialist and an England regular.

It was only a matter of time before he was granted the England captaincy, a major achievement and personal milestone for the player.

Now regarded as one of the world’s premier footballers and a hero to fans across the globe, he has established The David Beckham Academy in both London and Los Angeles, an exciting new football school focusing on the development of young players.

Through hard work and determination David realised his dream to be a professional footballer. It’s a journey that has taken him around the world to play on the greatest footballing stages for some of the biggest clubs.

And it is a journey that is not yet over….

7 Things to Stop Doing Now on Facebook

Following are the 7 things that should be avoided on Facebook otherwise it would be not safe for you and for your love ones.
1. Using a Weak Password
Avoid simple names or words you can find in a dictionary, even with numbers tacked on the end. Instead, mix upper- and lower-case letters, numbers, and symbols. A password should have at least eight characters. One good technique is to insert numbers or symbols in the middle of a word, such as this variant on the word "houses": hO27usEs!

             2. Leaving Your Full Birth Date in Your Profile
It's an ideal target for identity thieves, who could use it to obtain more information about you and potentially gain access to your bank or credit card account. If you've already entered a birth date, go to your profile page and click on the Info tab, then on Edit Information. Under the Basic Information section, choose to show only the month and day or no birthday at all.

3. Overlooking Useful Privacy Controls
For almost everything in your Facebook profile, you can limit access to only your friends, friends of friends, or yourself. Restrict access to photos, birth date, religious views, and family information, among other things. You can give only certain people or groups access to items such as photos, or block particular people from seeing them. Consider leaving out contact info, such as phone number and address, since you probably don't want anyone to have access to that information anyway.

4. Posting Your Child's Name in a Caption
Don't use a child's name in photo tags or captions. If someone else does, delete it by clicking on Remove Tag. If your child isn't on Facebook and someone includes his or her name in a caption, ask that person to remove the name.

5. Mentioning That You'll Be Away From Home
That's like putting a "no one's home" sign on your door. Wait until you get home to tell everyone how awesome your vacation was and be vague about the date of any trip.

6. Letting Search Engines Find You
To help prevent strangers from accessing your page, go to the Search section of Facebook's privacy controls and select Only Friends for Facebook search results. Be sure the box for public search results isn't checked.

7. Permitting Youngsters to Use Facebook Unsupervised
Facebook limits its members to ages 13 and over, but children younger than that do use it. If you have a young child or teenager on Facebook, the best way to provide oversight is to become one of their online friends. Use your e-mail address as the contact for their account so that you receive their notifications and monitor their activities. "What they think is nothing can actually be pretty serious," says Charles Pavelites, a supervisory special agent at the Internet Crime Complaint Center. For example, a child who posts the comment "Mom will be home soon, I need to do the dishes" every day at the same time is revealing too much about the parents' regular comings and goings.

Iran sentences Bahari to 13 years in prison, 74 lashes

New York, May 10, 2010—The Committee to Protect Journalists condemns a 13-year prison sentence handed down to Iranian-Canadian journalist Maziar Bahari in absentia on Sunday.
Newsweek correspondent Bahari, who was held in detention for four months on manufactured anti-state charges in 2009, was sentenced by a Tehran Revolutionary Court on Sunday to 13 years in prison, in addition to 74 lashes.
Bahari received a sentence of five years in prison for “congregation and mutiny with the intent to commit crimes against national security,” four years for “collecting and keeping confidential and classified documents,” one year for “propagation against the regime,” two years for “insulting the [Supreme] Leader,” six months for “insulting the President,” and one year and 74 lashes for “disruption of public order.”
Authorities interrogated Bahari for four months, he told CPJ, and coerced him to “confess” to a host of serious criminal acts on Iranian television. He was then convicted for an entirely different set of crimes.
“We condemn the conviction of Maziar Bahari,” said CPJ’s Middle East and North Africa program coordinator, Mohamed Abdel Dayem. “Bahari’s trial bears absolutely no resemblance to a legal process. The sentence is arbitrary and punitive and is unrelated to the initial charges, which were themselves falsified. The conviction is a reminder to us that the dozens of Iranian journalists who remain in jail are at the mercy of a cruel and vindictive regime.”
Bahari has been part of an international campaign that includes CPJ called “Our Society Will Be a Free Society,” advocating for the release of imprisoned Iranian journalists and writers, and has made numerous statements and appearances on their behalf.
Today CPJ and the Overseas Press Club of America sent a letter to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad calling on him to bring an end to a nearly year-long campaign of harassment and intimidation of critical Iranian journalists working domestically and abroad. The letter was signed by nearly 200 prominent media figures who attended the Overseas Press Club’s awards ceremony in New York on April 22.

Inside Sandra Bullock's New $2.25 Million Mansion

When Sandra Bullock revealed in last month's jaw-dropping cover story in People that she'd adopted a baby boy from New Orleans, she spoke about raising him there, saying: "It's his city." Just a few weeks later, the actor  and single mom followed through on that promise. Bullock recently moved herself and baby Louis into a historic Victorian mansion in the city's Garden District.
The mansion, known as the Koch-Mays house, was built in the 1860s. It boasts 6,615 square feet, five bedrooms, four and a half baths, ornate chandeliers, and a lagoon-like pool in the backyard. Bullock bought the house for $2.25 million last June with her now-estranged husband, Jesse James. (She filed for divorce from James in April.)
Dramatic photos of the mansion, which were posted on a real estate site after her June 2009 purchase of the home, show rooms bedecked with opulent antique furniture, Victorian wallpaper, and huge, gold Gothic mirrors. But Bullock has most likely filled the home with her own décor by now: Moving vans were spotted late last month moving furniture, including a leather sofa, into the mansion.

LEAVING ALL SOCIAL NETWORKS

Life is not "A Piece Of Cake" that every Tom, Dick and Harry come, set goals and achieve them. It is a "Game" where "One's Defeat Makes Someone Achieve".

There are so many things which could not be achieved without losing something. As the philosopher says: You have to leave something to gain something.

Life is about give and take. You can't get anything until you give something for it.

Today, I'm leaving my all social networks i.e Facebook, Myspace, Tagged, Orkut, Twitter etc.

Even I'm leaving Hotmail, Yahoo, Rediffmail and Gmail as well.

There is something I've to achieve in my life which I cannot describe here because there are so many black sheep which don't want to see me successful in my life.

Today I'm very much disappointed on what I've done before. I's very careless, involved in computer, sports and other social activities. It hurts when you failed to achieve the Primary goal of your life. I got everything I wanted from other activities but it is really disappointing when you got nothing from the main source. Its example is just like: Your supervisor is satisfied with you but your Boss disqualify you.
I've no words to describe: What I got and What I lose.
But whatever I got and whatever I lost is all from  Almighty Allah.
Allah knows better than us and did right for us.

I'll be connected with my Blog.

Small Asteroid or a FireBall Seen In Utah(USA) in Nov2009

A brilliant meteor that startled residents across parts of Idaho and northern Utah early Wednesday morning may have been a small asteroid, scientists say. It exploded in the atmosphere with a force equal to a thousand tons of TNT.
Spaceweather.com reports:
"Witnesses in Colorado, Utah, Idaho and elsewhere say the fireball "turned night into day" and "shook the ground" when it exploded just after midnight Mountain Standard Time. Researchers who are analyzing infrasound recordings of the blast say the fireball was not a Leonid.  It was probably a small asteroid, now scattered in fragments across the countryside.  Efforts are underway to measure the trajectory of the asteroid and guide meteorite recovery efforts."
Security camera footage of the event shows a flash that brightened the sky so much that a street light operated by a light sensor winked out for a time before the sky grew dark again.
Here's a video from local TV.

Day Of Judgement: Nasa Report On Sun Rising From The West

It is reported that speed of planet Mars has been decreasing in its course toward the eastern direction in the past few weeks to the level we notice the ‘waver’ between the east and the west and on Wednesday the 30th of July the planet movement stopped going toward the eastern direction.
Then in the months of August and September. Mars changed its course in the opposite direction to the West- and that until the end of September which means the sun will rise now from the west on Mars!! And this weird phenomena of the opposite movement is called “Retrograde Motion” Most scientist state that all the planets will go through the same once at least and our planet Earth is one of them. Planet Earth will move in the opposite direction some day and the sun will rise from the west!!
This might occur soon and we are unaware! The rise of the sun from the west is mentioned in the Hadith (sayings of Holy Prophet Muhammad) and this is the major sign of the day of judgement, most if not all, the minor signs have occurred. Wake up. Our beloved messenger Mohamed (Peace Be Upon Him) said: “One of the signs of the hour the sun will rise from the west, where no longer tauba (forgiveness) will be granted”
sun rise from west
!And the strange thing most of our Shariah scholars mentioned that the rise of the sun from the west occurs only once on that day the sun will rise from the west then again from the east and continues until Allah wishes and this is similar to what is happening to Mars it stops, then it changes its course of direction for a short period of time then returns to way once it was.
And Abdullah Bin Amro (R.A.) said: (I memorised from the messenger (SAW) a hadith I will never forget I heard the messenger of Allah (SAW) say: The first aya to come the rise of the sun from the west) [Ahmad]. And the messenger SAW “Allah places HIS hand at night to forgive his morning sinners, and places in the morning to forgive his night sinners until the sun rises from the west” [Muslim].
This piece of news is very important as it brings with it a great sign of warning and remembrance of the coming of a new WORLD – the world of he Hereafter When we show this hadith that was told 1400 years ago about this miracle…you will see InshaALLAH, a lot will revert to right path…And the Muslims if they see this phenomena happening in Mars who knows maybe it would bring them closer to our CREATOR. May Allah keep all of us in the right path and provide us with success in this world as well as in the hereafter.

Jailed Abroad

Jailed Abroad tells true stories of the traveler’s worst nightmare when a holiday in paradise become a journey to hell that ends up in prison abroad. NGC bring real stories from the life of travelers who have fallen prey to local system and found themselves behind bars.

Jailed Abroad
Jailed Abroad tells the true stories that would be any traveller's worst nightmare - when a holiday in paradise becomes a journey into hell that ends up in prison abroad. From travellers who, through naivety, stupidity or plain bad luck, have fallen foul of a local legal system and found themselves behind bars in a hell hole jail, to adventurers who have strayed too far off the beaten track and found themselves hostage to guerrilla forces.

Some went in search of adventure, others a new life or the holiday of a lifetime. All ended up in a situationbeyond their worst nightmares. The stories include a naive 18 year old caught smuggling heroin out of Bangladesh to pay for her college fees; a young couple who travelled to Chechnya to set up a children's centre only to become the target of ruthless kidnappers and a journalist who entered Afghanistan in search of a big story but ended up imprisoned with members of Al Qaeda.

So, many names other than original introduced by different people in different places. This not happens with names only but also with occupations and so many other that is according to situations. So, my friends called me "Jilani" rather than calling me with my real name "Arsalan". I know its sad but no problem, its up to their satisfaction and it's their love for me to call me with sweet names =) It is so long that I'm using my name "Dirty Harry" or "Inflicted" or "Dirty Harry™ Їń₣lЇčκŧĒĐ ♀♂" on internet accounts and nick on Counter-Strike and also in videos I made.
So, on the demand of myself I've introduced my new name i.e "Architect Of Lies". This name I also offered to one of my friends for his New Music Album. He liked it most, but I's little bit late because he already chosen a name for his New Metal Music Album as "Scar Symmetry".
Now, I'm using this slogan and Just take a look of my new image.
This is a new image. I'm using this also on Facebook. If I'm not added on your friends list, so add me. There you can find me as "Arsalan Jilani" or find me by my e-mail ID i.e "jilani_90@hotmail.com"
